‘what about transients?’ is the most frequently asked question for earth moving machinery. arenared has developed the combustion pressure based control (cpbc) such that the full rated engine potential or more is available at every given time. 100% diesel engines typically have rather slow transients, the cpbc in combination with dual fuel delivers more power because a lower smoke / lambda limit. this improves power with 30%. the arenared ecu is specified to run on piston engines with speeds up to 22.000 rpm, which means it could even run a retro formula 1 car including the quick rpm changes. even at this incredible data flow the cpbc chip still has enough processing power to use all cpbc algorithms without delay, which means it will not have any problem with rapid and constant transients which earth moving machinery face all the time. on a earth mover there is little space, therefore it is an advantage if no severe exhaust gas after treatment is needed. earth movers can be found at every corner of the world but the owner is not always in possession of the best fuel.
